The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of hope; it’s a message that gives people a reason to believe in their future, it’s a message to give you a future. (Jer.29:11)
Some people might think they have no future, but when the gospel of Jesus is preached, hope comes alive, that’s the power of the gospel of Jesus.
Luke 8:50 reads, “But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, ‘fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.’”
The scriptures are full of the phrase “fear not”; that’s a message of hope from your God! God is telling you to look up, it’s not over!
Imagine this story with Jesus: Luke 8:49. A certain man whose daughter was critically ill cried to Jesus for help. Before Jesus could make his way to the man’s house, one of his servants came with the news… “your daughter is already dead… there’s no need to trouble the Master.”
The scripture says, “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said unto the ruler of the synagogue, ‘be not afraid only believe.'” (Mark 5:36)
That’s incredible! Even though the man’s daughter was already dead, Jesus said to him, “be not afraid only believe.” What a message of hope! When the man believed and took Jesus to his house, a miracle took place; his daughter came back to life. All hope had been lost, but this man put his faith in the words of Jesus.
Maybe you are going through some difficult days, some dark days, nothing seems to be working, and there is no help in sight.
Well God says to you… “Fear not, it’s not over… only believe.”
It’s not the end for you; there is a hope and a future for you. All you need to do is, according to Ephesians 6:10 – “be strong in the Lord and in HIS mighty power.”
Trust Him, He never fails.
