Timeless Treasure
Come to Me
Matthew 11:28- 30
“Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
What a beautiful invitation! Jesus says “ Come to me”; not to a religion, doctrine, or system, but to Him.
He calls us who labour, and those who are heavily-laden – be that with family, work, relationships, finance or personal burdens.
Jesus invites you to come to Him and He promises rest for our souls. This rest means to refresh, rejuvenate, reinvigorate and revitalise. Jesus knows we need this kind of rest to be effective in what He asks us to do for Him. His rest brings His peace and love to body, soul and spirit.
So come in faith, believing in Him, resting in His presence and know the refreshment of His Holy Spirit on a daily basis. Rest will keep you steadfast and strong – in the storms of life you will know He is your anchor. His invitation to you right now is “ Come to me.”
Accepting His invitation will bring you rest. What a precious timeless treasure.
