Timeless Treasure
A Hidden Life
Colossians 3:3
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
The Chinese language has a great symbol showing that we are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
The symbol is made from two pictures; a lamb on top, with a person underneath the lamb. The lamb covers the person.
What a beautiful image: the Lamb of God covering the child of God, hidden in Christ. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see you, He sees His Son, the Perfect, Spotless, Blameless Lamb of God.
I pray that you may treasure this image in your heart and always be reminded that when God looks at you, He sees Jesus, in whom He is well pleased.
Blessings,
Susan

Malachi 3:6:
I, the Lord do not change.
Let me share a recently read story with you:
When Lloyd Douglas, the author of The Robe and other novels, attended college, he lived in a boarding-house. A retired, wheelchair-bound music professor resided on the first floor.
Each morning Douglas would stick his head in the door of the teacher’s apartment and ask the same question, “Well, what’s the good news?” The old man would pick up his tuning fork, tap it on the wheelchair, and say “That’s middle C! It was middle C yesterday; it will be middle C tomorrow; it will be middle C a thousand years from now. The tenor upstairs may sing flat, the piano may be out of tune, but my friend, that will always be middle C.”
How I love that story. It reminds me of the goodness of God and how He is my ‘middle C.’
That constant, consistent presence in my life. The only One who truly never changes.
Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
May the truth of His Word refresh your heart today as you continue your journey of faith. He is the God who changes not!
Blessings,
Susan

Timeless Treasure – You are a new creation!
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
As we enter into the New Year of 2024, let us all be reminded of the new creation we are, thanks be to Jesus.
The word ‘ new’ comes from the Greek word ‘ kainos’, describing something that is brand new, and carrying the idea of something that is superior. That day you were saved you became new, a masterpiece of His grace, skilfully and artfully created in Christ Jesus. He is the one who is superior!
The year 2023 has gone and 2024 holds things as yet unknown.
But be encouraged, we are known by the Lord and as we behold Him, He will reveal all things to us by His Spirit. All He has for you is good!
Let us rejoice in Ephesians 2:10:
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
May we all, as new creations, embrace this New Year of 2024. As we behold Him, may we all experience His presence, His peace and His overwhelming love in abundance.

The Promises of God:
The Word of God is full of amazing promises – each one speaking of His great faithfulness.
As we journey with the Lord, He also speaks personal promises to us as His beloved children.
Scriptures to meditate and ponder on:
2 Cor 1:20 “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
Psalm 85:8 “I will listen to what the Lord will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints – but let them not return to folly.”
2Peter 1:4 reminds us that we have been given these great and precious promises, so that through them we may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
I never tire of reading the account of Abraham in Romans 4:
20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,
21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Praise God that when you and I hold fast to our faith and are fully persuaded that God will do what he has promised, we too are credited with righteousness.
Hebrews 10:23
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”
Thank you Jesus!

Merry Christmas!
…..Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:20 NIV
While they were there, the time came for the child to be born. Luke 2:6 NIV
Dearest brothers and sisters, it is with joy that we reach out to you at this time of the year with great thankfulness in our hearts for all that Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, has done through every one of you, amen!
In the story of Joseph in Matthew chapter one, we see that he had a plan, and that plan was to divorce her quietly. (v19) We can all have our own plans, our own agendas, but we need to know the plan of God for our lives, because ultimately it will affect others!
Nobody likes to appear vulnerable or appear to others as vulnerable, but that is exactly what Joseph did, he became vulnerable. How? He laid down his own plans! His plan was to divorce Mary quietly, to send her away. He went to bed that night with the intention of putting his plan into action the following morning, however he was not planning on getting a visitation from the angel of the Lord whilst he slept! (v20)
The angel of the Lord assured and convinced Joseph that what was in Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit, wow! How did Joseph respond to this vision from heaven and word from the Lord? He laid down his own plan, he laid down his agenda, he laid down his own thoughts. Verse 24 tells us that when he woke up he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him to do and took Mary home as his wife.
Talk about being vulnerable! He put aside all his plans and picked up the plan of God for his life. How selfless, what an example Joseph is. Joseph’s primary purpose was for others, for the benefit of others.
The Bible teaches us that there is a time, a season for everything, and in Ecclesiastes 3:2 it tells us that there is a time to be born, and so we see in our verse above from Luke 2:6, that the time came for Jesus to be born.
As a man, I know nothing about giving birth to a child! My wife Susan went through all of that, twice, and she could write a lot more about that than I ever could! One of the things I most remember is the midwife telling Susan sometimes to push when the baby was about due, and then other times telling Susan not to push.
I want to encourage you, like Mary, there are things on the inside of you, that have been conceived by the Holy Spirit, amen? God has impregnated you with His truth, every time you read His word He deposits a seed into your spirit, that in due season will produce a harvest. (Galatians 6:9)
Do not be in a hurry to push, to bring about the birth of God’s promises in your lives under your own strength, rest in Him and be confident that what He has spoken to you will come about in due season, because He who promised (you) is faithful, amen? (Hebrews 10:23)
Like Joseph, are you prepared to lay down your own plans, your own agenda, and pick up the plan of God for all areas of your lives? Are you willing to make yourself vulnerable before God and trust Him for your days?
Each and everyone of you are amazing. Thus far the Lord has brought you (1 Samuel 7:12) and He has got an amazing plan to take you even further, praise God! Susan and I thank God for your faithfulness to the ministry of Andrew and Jamie and look forward to seeing all that God will continue to do through you all, amen!
We want to wish you all a truly blessed Christmas and we look forward to catching up with you in 2024!
Love and blessings,
John & Susan
