At Peace.

Therefore being justified by faith, We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1.

The verse above says, “Being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ.” This means there is no war, no fight between you and God!

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ has brought you into an everlasting peace with God. The peace referred to here is more than just a ceasefire or quietness; it means oneness. We have been brought into a perfect union, a perfect unity with God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:13 says it like this, “But now in Christ Jesus you who were once far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

By the act of Christ’s work on the cross, you have been justified; that means declared righteous and therefore, have peace with God. The word “justified” is from the Greek word “dikaioo,” which means to be acquitted. God is not angry with you and does not count your sins against you. You do not have to worry that one day God will remember all the wrong things you have done and punish you; no!

You have come to Him and you are now at rest in Him because Jesus paid the price on your behalf. Isaiah 53:5 says, “the punishment that brought us peace, was upon him (Jesus).

Now you can relate to God as your Father. Romans 5:2 tells us” that by Christ Jesus we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand……”

We have right standing with God through Jesus Christ. He has given us access into God’s presence. In the Old Testament they didn’t have that access; only the high priest went once a year into the presence of Almighty God to intercede for the people. But now, we have direct access into His presence because we are at peace with Him, we are in unity with Him.

You can approach God without fear, based on what Christ has done! Amen?
